Pituitary Stalk Ganglioglioma an Uncommon Entity: A Case Report
Case Report
Ganglioglioma is a well known entity in neurosurgery but its presentation in pituitary stalk is seen uncommonly. We present here a 35 year old lady with complaints of decreased vision, amenorrhea and headache. Examination revealed bitemporal heminopia. MRI confirmed a pituitary stalk lesion with optic tract compression. A pterional craniotomy was done and tumor was excised. Histopathology revealed it to be ganglioglioma WHO grade I. Patient is doing well under follow up with endocrinology.

Esophageal Squamous Papilloma Associated with Human Papillomavirus
Case Report
Esophageal squamous papilloma (ESP) is a rare benign tumor of the esophagus. Human papillomavirus is known to infect the genitourinary tract, the anal canal, the respiratory tract, and the skin. It is associated with benign, precancerous and cancerous lesions. Esophageal papillomas, including HPV-induced squamous cell papillomas of the esophagus, are rare, with an incidence ranging from 0.01 to 0.04 percent. We present a case of esophageal HPV induced squamous cell papilloma. A 59-year-old male presented to the clinic with epigastric abdominal pain radiating to the chest, he was treated empirically with Pantoprazole with the resolution of symptoms. The patient underwent Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan as part of follow-up surveillance for stage IV adenocarcinoma of the lung that was resected two years ago, it showed hypermetabolic focus involving the gastroesophageal junction. Biopsy of the lesion was consistent with the involvement of human papillomavirus with no evidence of dysplasia. This case illustrates the recognizing the role of human papillomavirus in squamous cell papilloma of the esophagus and its association with GERD.

Psoas Abscess with Septic Arthritis of the Hip in a Patient with Chronic Back Pain
Case Report
Psoas abscess is a rare clinical entity that requires early diagnosis and timely intervention to avoid serious complications of the disease. We report a case of psoas abscess that presented initially as low back pain then complicated with septic arthritis. We discuss the clinical diagnosis, intervention and follow up of the case along with review of the literature. This important clinical entity that generally presents with vague signs and symptoms leads to a delay in diagnosis and timely intervention.

It causes acute and self-limited gastroenteritis which can be complicated by Severe infection with central nervous system (CNS) involvement that can carry high risk of morbidity and mortality. Here, we report a case of Salmonella species acute gastroenteritis followed by severe sepsis with neurological manifestations in a child who is known case of Autosomal Recessive polycystic kidney with liver fibrosis. The infection was successfully treated with intravenous antibiotic along with short course of steroids. The child has complete recovery without any sequelae. In conclusion, this report demonstrates that use of steroid in severe salmonella infection with CNS involvement can improve the outcome.
